Maria
Maria on the Monon (MOM)
Maria is our namesake dog. She was born in Greenville, OH on May 13, 2019 and has been a fantastic addition to our family. She loves walks, toy bones, flowers and cheese!
With a lineage rich in European champions, we are thrilled to have Maria as the foundation of our breeding program! Maria's father Duke, a Lithuanian import, is the son of a 4 time Junior Champion of Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Baltic. Duke's grandpa was champion of Sweden and Denmark. Duke has OFA excellent hips and normal elbows. Maria's mother Bella has a history of long lives and correct hips, with her father having OFA excellent hips.
Maria has been genetically tested through Embark Dog DNA Testing, clearing her of 191 genetic diseases Embark tests for! The two additional diseases tested are the most common for Bernese Mountain Dogs: Degenerative Myelopathy, DM (SOD1A) and Von Willebrand Disease Type 1 (VWF). Maria's results are as follows:
